- Know the legal and professional issues underpinning SOVA Describe the term “safeguarding” State who is vulnerable from abuse Must be able to recognise situations that may lead to safeguarding; State reasons where abuse could happen State the role of the Disclosure and Barring Service After completing this training , you must be able to manage the reporting and referrals; procedures involved in safeguarding in the workplace. Must be able to identify adults who maybe vulnerable and increase the knowledge and awareness of safeguarding adults based on the need for a person-centred approach in providing a supportive and trusting relationship with the person who has been identified as potentially at risk of abuse or harm.
